Federal authorities have made vague references to the fact that raids on more than a dozen medical marijuana dispensaries in the Seattle area Tuesday were aimed at businesses who may have been selling marijuana to kids.
Search warrant documents released today haven’t shed much light on those claims, but PubliCola has learned that over the weekend local police found as many as 100 kids at a party at a dispensaries in White Center, which was later raided by the feds.
On Saturday night, police found a whole bunch of kids in and around the G.A.M.E. Collective dispensary in White Center late Saturday night after deputies heard a round of gunfire near the facility, according to an email from King County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Cindi West.
Deputies arrived at 16th Ave. SW. and SW. Roxbury, where they found an apparent after-hours party at the G.A.M.E. dispenary that had “a large number of youth in attendance,” West says.
Coincidentally, federal search warrant records for the investigation into the G.A.M.E. dispensary reference after-hours parties at the establishment.
There were “approximately 75-100 juveniles in the area,” some of whom were coming out of the G.A.M.E. business, West says, and the teens began “posturing in the street, flashing gang signs and yelling.”
Deputies didn’t find any gunshot victims.
An hour later, police returned to the area about an hour later after hearing another round of gunfire, and found that a drug store and another business had been hit by gunfire.
Police didn’t make any arrests.
G.A.M.E. has not yet responded to a request for comment about the incident.
