Today in not-at-all-shocking-news: Seattle police records say the 27-year-old man shot over the weekend inside of Jillian’s nightclub in South Lake Union is “a member or associate” of the Mad Pack Blood Gang.
Police documents released earlier today say shortly before 1:00am on March 21st, police received reports of a large fight and gunfire on the dance floor at Jillian’s near Westlake Ave N and Aloha St. According to Seattle police, the club’s manager “met [responding officers] at the door and hurriedly attempted to divert their attention away from the interior of the club.” He was then arrested for false reporting.
Following the shooting, a 27-year-old man showed up at Harborview with a gunshot wound to his buttocks and said he’d been shot at Jillian’s.
Officers showed up to interview the man, who told police he “was running away from the fight…inside the club when he was struck by gunfire.” The man told police he was not involved in the fight and did not know the gunman, although a witness told police that the man had been in a fight in the club earlier that evening. Police documents also say the man—who police records say has multiple convictions for assault—was quite adamant about not wanting the cops to search his car.
A search warrant for the man’s car seems to indicate officers didn’t find anything interesting.
